The EFA will award a limited number of travel grants to help selected PhD students attend the conference.

The application will open on May 8, 2025. Deadline for application is May 26, midnight Pacific Time.

Guidelines

• Applicants should
  • be PhD students in finance, financial economics, or a related field;
  • have completed at least two years of their doctoral studies;
  • be EFA members in 2025;
  • provide their CV, the name of their supervisor, and a statement from the supervisor confirming that the applicant is enrolled in a PhD program and that the student’s institution cannot fully cover the student’s travel expenses with internal funding.
• Preference will be given to job market candidates in the upcoming academic year (2025-2026).
• Students do not need to have a paper on the program to be eligible.
• Students accepted for the Doctoral Tutorial are not eligible.
• Applicants who have received an EFA Travel Grant in the past are not eligible to receive another one.
• The amount of the Travel Grant is €400.
